THREE BOOKS—ONE PEN Jabiru Books Belize Kickstarter Crowdfunding Project Self-publishing is not an easy task; funding is always an issue; most Belizean and Caribbean writers are faced with this issue. We have three books that are all formatted and are awaiting funding for printing and e-book publication. They are: I Dream of Obwaandi’eyaag (Pontiac), Buffaloes and Prairies, Books One and Two. Un Juego De Dominó—A game Of Dominoes. A significant portion of what you have been told about the Indigenous Nations of North America, and of Cuba, are inaccurate. The information is tailored to the purposes of those who teach them. We must all look deeply into what we have been told. These books will stimulate you to do just that. Other than providing you with great reading, we want our readers to be inspired enough that they pursue truths. The Three Books—One Pen crowdfunding project is set for 30 days. Once the project is successful and funding has been released, the three books will be sent for printing and conversion, to be made available for Print-on-Demand and E-books. There are also rewards for those who contribute. We ask you to participate in this very important project. Although financial contribution is important, one can also significantly participate by forwarding/sharing this newsletter to family, friends, colleagues, and worldwide through social media, encouraging participation. Should you do, here are a few words about the Three Books—One Pen project that you may find convenient to forward along with the link: “The Three Books—One Pen crowdfunding project comprises three books. The two-book series, I Dream of Obwandiyag, (Pontiac) Buffaloes and Prairies, is of mixed genre: Adventure, Culture, Mythology, Fantasy, Warfare, History. Two young men, a Dakhóta and a White, are dancing at a pow-wow when, during a storm, they are transported by the Dakhóta Spirit, Tawiskaron, to the early eighteen hundreds, to the Northern Prairies, where they begin the greatest of adventures. Un Juego de Dominó—A Game of Dominoes, in both English and Spanish, is set in Centro Havana, Cuba. Four friends are playing dominoes. While playing, interjected with humour and laughter, they discuss topics relevant to Cuba and their lives, also historical and current personalities. The spirit of resistance and hope, smiles and laughter in difficult times, are prevalent throughout.
