Sisimito Series: Sisimito II - XIBALBA

From Sisimito II - Xibalba

Taat comments on foreign preachers, residents, and naturalized citizens:

Taat: “If those people (foreign preachers) really wanted to help us, they should have one church that all of them can pray in, at different times if they have too much pride to pray together. They could use all the money they are wasting on their own little wooden building to do projects that will really help our villages. Many of these foreign preachers . . . foreigners in general . . . come and act as if they have a right to our land and a right to change our beliefs. They don’t have any rights. They are here because we provide them with that courtesy, a courtesy they often take for granted and abuse. They need to be reminded that a courtesy given can always be taken away.”

Sergeant Chiac: "You don't like the new churches, do you?"

Taat: "It's not that I don't like them, it's just that they want me to believe that only they are right. That is not good. That, to me, is Arrogance and Pride, and they themselves say 'Pride' is the greatest sin against God and against man."

Sergeant Chiac: "Life is difficult, Taat, and our world has changed. The past is being replaced by the future."

Taat: "Only if you let it. New churches have come to our villages and before long others will come, each wanting to grab its own piece of our Maya land, staining our beautiful jungle with their expensive posters. Each one of them will try to steal members from the other as they try to save us. What good is that? Is that really what their God wants? If we need to be saved, it is from them. That is what I believe.”

Christ Son of Man - The Voyage to Araboth II

In Christ Son of Man  - The Voyage to Araboth II, Anafiel, Captain of the Starship Covenant - 666, responds to the Angel Gabriel's comment, "We battle in the Name of The Lord", by saying, "No! We don't! No Man battles in the Name of The Lord.  No Man kills in the Name of The Lord.  Man battles and Man kills in Man's own name."

Christ Son of Man - The Voyage to Araboth II

In Christ Son of Man  - The Voyage to Araboth II, the Archangel Michael tells Anafiel, Captain of the Starship Covenant - 666, "Do not mistake the average for the normal. The normal is the entire circle established by The Lord.  The average is only part of that circle.  Too often, Man has interpreted the average to be the normal and great injustice and discrimination have come to pass."

Note: This is in specific reference to Hate Crimes, like those against our LGBT Community.
